I've been doing faceups as long as I've been in the hobby, but I started in 2008 when I had very limited tools and honestly wasn't very good! I don't think I'm amazing by any means now, but I'm trying!

Unoa Sist

This doll previously belonged to someone very important to me, but now she's mine and has been sitting around for years with her old faceup (also done by me, years ago, when I was definitely not very good at it. Sorry for the lack of photos of that!) I really want to refresh her completely--new name, new look, everything! So the first step I took was giving her a good soak, cleaning her up, and giving her a new faceup.
I was going for 80s Japanese idol vibes, which at the time I didn't realize was pretty much no makeup makeup, but I thought it really suited her sculpt. The Unoa girls really look like 80s anime characters or idols to me now that I take a close look at them.
